Stay True You,Entrepreneur
Jun 9, 2021
Man, when you’re not doing what you love or not in the right headspace — it takes a toll on you.
That’s how it was for me, anyways.
Photography is who I am, but I didn’t have that drive anymore. I had lost it along the way (2020)
After a week of FINALLY being in the studio and photographing something I enjoy, everything seemed to come back around.
Photographing things you don’t enjoy is like going into work dreading what you do. It makes it tough to show up as your whole self.
I had a complete ah-ha moment after being back in the studio.
This August will be 10 years “in” the photography studio (14 years as a photographer)
If I could go back to my 20 something entrepreneur self I would have this to say:
-You cannot be everything to everyone.
-Value those that return to your true utmost service.
-Learn to rest.
-Don’t underestimate your worth.
-Don’t go after what people WANT, do what YOU LOVE… the right people will find you!
-No matter how much good you do, someone will always be pointing out your flaws.
-Set boundaries.
-But also, don’t be afraid to drift from the harbor.
-You will always be growing.
-Never stop learning.
-You cannot please everyone.
-Life is forever like waves.
-Learn to adjust your sails when needed.
-Stay true to you!
We’re halfway through 2021, but excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for the studio!
